AMT 0708C - Aviation Maintenance Technology General I
Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into Aviation Airframe Mechanics program Corequisite(s): AMT 0709C Introduces basic information necessary for students entering aviation maintenance technology. Emphasis is placed on mechanic privileges/limitations, math, physics, aircraft drawings, and human factors, alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) circuits and controls, electrical measurements, electrical test equipment, aircraft batteries, fundamental electronics, and semiconductor devices. Upon completion, students will be able to make basic computations, apply principles of physics, read and interpret aircraft drawings, schematics and charts, take electrical measurements, use basic electrical test equipment, service aircraft batteries, and understand the principles of human factors and apply them in day-to-day operations.
