The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree in Cybersecurity provides access to the student who already has skills in a technical area and wishes to advance to higher level supervisory and management positions within business, industry, and governmental organizations. This degree has the following two concentration options.
Cyber Forensics: The BAS in Cybersecurity, Cyber Forensics Concentrtion broadens the student’s knowledge in applied cyber forensic practices and will prepare the student for supervisory and management opportunities within his or her chosen field. The preferred associate degree pathway is the Associate in Science degree in Cyber Forensics. Each student is strongly encouraged to consult an advisor prior to course registration.
Information Security: The BAS in Cybersecurity, Information Security Concentration broadens the student’s knowledge in applied cybersecurity practices and will prepare the student for supervisory and management opportunities within his or her chosen field. The preferred associate degree pathway is the Associate in Science degree in Cybersecurity. Each student is strongly encouraged to consult an advisor prior to course registration.
Admission requires an Associate in Science degree, an Associate in Arts degree, or at least sixty (60) credits in a related discipline including at least fifteen (15) credit hours of transferable general education coursework with applicable lower-level degree requirements listed in each concentration.
For Associate in Science graduates, additional general education credits are required to complete the 36 credit hour general education requirement of Pensacola State College.
