Program Description

The Career Certificate in Electricity prepares students for a career in the electricity trade by focusing on broad, transferable skills that stress both theory and hands-on training. This 1200 clock hour program uses a combination of theoretical, simulation, and hands-on instruction. Each student is strongly encouraged to consult an advisor or counselor prior to course registration.

Program Information

Electricity is a 12-month, 1200 clock hour program of study that prepares students for employment in the electricity field in the manufacturing or construction sectors.

The program enables students to obtain their electricity certification through NCCR (National Center for Construction Education & Research).

Classes begin in the fall semester and there are limited spaces available. The Electricity program is offered at the Pensacola campus only.

Program Admission Requirements

  • Be at least 16 years of age.
  • High School Dual Enrollment students are welcome.
  • No high school completion or equivalent is required.
  • Be accepted to the college and have completed the entire admissions process.
  • at least 16 years of age.
  • This program is limited access due to equipment and space constraints.
