DES 2832C - Expanded Functions I


Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into the Dental Assisting Technology and Management program and completion of the program’s semester one core courses, with a C or better.
Corequisite(s): None
The student will perform expanded functions as permitted by the Florida State Board of Dentistry. This course includes, but is not limited to, the ethical and legal aspects of dentistry, applying sealants, making impressions for study casts, placing and removing rubber dam and matrices, applying cavity liners, varnishes and bases, and placing or removing temporary restorations.
Semester Hours: 2 credit hours
