HSC 1434C - Central Processing Technology


Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into the Surgical Services program and completion of the program’s semester one core courses with a C or better. 
Corequisite(s): None
Introduces various health professions A combination of lecture, lab, and clinic, the course provides instruction and experience in processing patient care equipment such as selection, decontamination, and disinfection of instrumentation and supplies; procedure tray assembly; sterilization techniques; preparation of case carts; and processing documentation.  
Semester Hours: 8 credit hours
