PHT 2810L - PTA Clinic II

Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into the Physical Therapist Assistant program and completion of the program’s semester one and two core courses, with a C or better.
Corequisite(s): None
A full-time supervised and planned learning experience in a physical therapy practice setting under the direction of a clinical instructor (CI) who is either a PT or a PTA. Focuses on application of didactic knowledge and skills gained in the classroom and laboratory settings to the real world of patient care. The student is expected to function near entry-level (80 or greater) at advanced intermediate or higher on at least the first 5 items of the Clinical Performance Instrument (CPI) by the end of the clinical experience in that specific setting.
