PHT 2304 - Pathological Conditions in Physical Therapy II



Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into the Physical Therapist Assistant program and completion of the program’s semester one, two, and three core courses, with a C or better. 
Corequisite(s): None
Discussion of special topics related to the practice of physical therapy. The pathology and medical management of special patient populations including patients with burns, psychiatric disorders, amputations, patients requiring orthotics or prosthetics, pediatric athletes, obstetric and gynecological patients, and oncology patients will be addressed. Gender-related issues, infectious diseases, lab tests and imaging methods will be presented. Pediatric experiences will be incorporated into the class.
