HIM 2229C - Introduction to Coding and Classification



Prerequisite(s): BSC 1080 , BSC 1080 L, HSC 1531 , HSC 2550  
Corequisite(s): None
Provides the student with an introduction to diagnosis coding using the ICD 10-CM coding classification system both manual and computer-based practice. Covers the guidelines, conventions, and all body systems to apply accurate code data for research, indices, registries and reimbursement of health care services.
