CAP 2141C - Digital Forensics II



Prerequisite(s): CAP 2140C  
Corequisite(s): None
Provides the student information on advanced computer forensics, how to prepare and conduct a computer investigation, Windows registry analysis using FTK’s registry analyzer, and use of advanced computer forensics software such as Access Data’s Forensic Toolkit FTK, Guidance Software’s Encase, Forensic Recovery Evidence Device (FRED), Ultimate Tool Kit Write Blocker Suite. The student will learn how to recover forensic data from various digital devices such as cell phones using password recovery tools and analysis of Windows and Linux operating systems.
