EEC 1100 - Introduction to Early Childhood

Corequisite(s): None
Covers the history, types, and guidelines for pre-school educational programs, including center-based, family home childcare, nursery, and after school programs. The course fulfills a portion of the 120 hours of training required for the Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC) or a National Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. Students are required to complete 20 hours of observation/service learning experience in an early childhood setting and begin developing a professional portfolio.
